 This has to be my favourite fly for those wild highland browns, taken from a simple hare's ear muddler I changed some of the key components to what I thought would increase the catch rate of this pattern and it worked, I not only caught more fish but caught a larger average of fish also. This fly featured in my article on Loch Ba with the Today's Fly Fisherman.

Used in a big wave as a muddler it should its awesome, used on a flat calm it is also devastating, the fish love this guy, top dropper or tail you choose, I prefer Top Dropper myself.
